Founder Sunmin Park and Co-Founder J. Ethan Park have produced multiple award-winning films with world premiers at top film festivals including Sundance, Berlinale, Cannes, Venice, Locarno, and Toronto collaborating with a network of international partners and multinational clients such as Samsung, LG Media, Prisa/Sogecine/Canal Plus Espana, Microsoft Xbox, and more in conjunction with US studios and distributors worldwide. 

A select list of producing credits includes the worldwide box office hit THE OTHERS, which premiered at the 2001 Venice Film Festival Competition, directed by Alejandro Amenàbar and starring Nicole Kidman, and executive produced by Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner.  Chen Kaige’s Chinese epic, THE EMPEROR AND THE ASSASSIN, starring Gong Li, premiered in competition at the 1999 Cannes Film Festival.  After winning the Sundance NHK Best Script award, MR. P’s DANCING SUSHI BAR, directed by Hirotaka Tashiro was shot in Vietnam in 1998 and listed as one of Asahi Shimbun’s top films of the year.  The government of Vietnam gave Maxmedia one of the first official permissions to shoot an American feature in the country since the Vietnam War.  Ms. Park’s directorial debut, TOO PURE, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York in 2002.  MUSHISHI, a live-action film directed by legendary filmmaker Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira), had its world premiere in competition at the 63rd Venice Film Festival.  Park also executive produced a production filmed in Rwanda titled SHAKE HANDS WITH A DEVIL, a Roger Spottiswoode-directed adaptation of the memoir of General Romeo Dallaire, the head of the UN peacekeeping force in Rwanda during the 1994 genocide. Maxmedia partnered with Microsoft to produce an animated feature adaptation of the leading Microsoft XBox 360 title KAMEO: ELEMENTS OF POWER. This adventure follows an Elf-girl’s journey of self-discovery. In addition, Maxmedia has partnered with renowned Manga artist Hiroyuki Kitazume (Gundam) to create a comic book series based on KAMEO, published by Random House.  In 2012, MAXMEDIA produced A NIGHT IN OLD MEXICO, which brought together an esteemed cast of actors, including Robert Duvall, Luis Tosar, and Jeremy Irvine. The script was written by Lonesome Dove, Legends Of The Fall, and Perfect Storm writer Bill Wittliff, directed by Spanish helmer Emilio Aragon, and it premiered as the centerpiece film of the 2013 SXSW in Austin. In 2016, THITHI, written and directed by Bangalore-based filmmaker Raam Reddy, had its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival and the US premiere at the Lincoln Society’s New Directors New Film at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.  In 2024, Raam Reddy’s second film, THE FABLE, will be released.  

At the intersection of entertainment and technology, MAXMEDIA is a trusted advisory partner, offering strategic insights that navigate the industry's ever-evolving landscape. In 2004, the company produced Moon-Saeng Kim's 2004 technologically groundbreaking multilayered composite animated feature SKY BLUE (aka WONDERFUL DAYS), which premiered at the Venice Film Festival and North American premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.

On the strategy and distribution advisory side, in addition to acquiring hundreds of titles for conglomerate companies based in Asia and Europe, Maxmedia represented OPEN YOUR EYES, which was made into VANILLA SKY directed by Cameron Crowe, starring Tom Cruise, distributed by Paramount Pictures, Alejandro Amenabar’s SEA INSIDE for US distribution with Fine Line (Warner Brothers), which won Best Foreign Picture Oscar in 2005, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo’s INTACTO remake with Buena Vista, and Alex de la Iglesia’s FERPECT CRIME with Ben Stiller’s Redhour at 20th Century Fox.
